Dossier is AI-powered public-information research and contact intelligence, operated by Island Global Company (Delaware).

Permitted use

Dossier helps professionals research people and organizations in their professional capacity: identifying the right contact, preparing for a meeting, finding suppliers and partners, and understanding a company before approaching it.

Dossier is not a consumer reporting agency. Dossier files are not consumer reports as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). You may not use Dossier or any Dossier file as a factor in determining eligibility for employment, housing, credit, insurance, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA or similar laws. Dossier does not provide criminal, credit, eviction, employment-verification or legal background checks, and a Dossier file is never a complete record of anyone.

You may not use Dossier to locate, track, surveil, harass, stalk or intimidate anyone; to research minors; or to obtain home addresses, personal phone numbers, government identifiers, financial or medical information. Dossier declines such requests.

What Dossier uses

Dossier’s research agents read publicly available web pages — company websites, press releases, news, public filings, conference and association pages, and professional profiles — at the time of your request. Dossier does not use breached, leaked or hacked data, does not bypass logins or paywalls, and does not buy personal data from brokers. Every factual statement in a file is labeled CONFIRMED, REPORTED, INFERRED, UNVERIFIED or UNKNOWN and linked to its source. Inferred information, such as an email address built from a company’s published pattern, is always labeled as inferred.

AI research can be wrong. Verify anything important before relying on it.

Privacy

Dossier stores the files you create so you can reopen and refresh them. Files are tied to a private, signed session cookie on your device; anyone with a share link you create can view that file until you revoke it. Payments are processed by Stripe; Dossier never sees your card number. Product analytics record actions (for example, “PDF exported”) without recording your search text or the people you research.

Opt-out and removal

If you are the subject of a Dossier file and want information about you reviewed or excluded from future research, write to info@island.contact. We honor verified requests and applicable data-protection rights (including CCPA/CPRA and GDPR requests).

Terms

Quick Looks are free and rate limited. Full Dossier ($9) and Deep Research ($29) are one-time purchases per file, delivered digitally when research completes; if research cannot be completed, contact support for a credit. You agree to use Dossier only for lawful, permitted purposes described above. Dossier is provided “as is” without warranties of accuracy or completeness. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware.
